During the 80ies, Captain Power was one of the well established brands of Toy-Giant Mattel. Apart from toys and TV-shows of this Sci-Fi-Franchise, Mattel did some shy approach to videogames. The Captain Power Jet is a handheld light-gun that interacts with the enclosed videotapes in quite a simple matter. New episodes could be purchased separately. Although this only touches only the outer boundaries of videogames, we still consider videotape-systems as noteworthy. Thus, Captain Power has it's place in our collection.
