The DSi XL is the 3rd and last revision of the Nintendo DS. It kept all features and optimisations of the previous revisions and was of course compatible to all DS-games. It increased the size of the screens and by that of the system itself significantly. The increased weight and size was compensated by better ergonomics. Nintendo was able to sell almost 45 million units of the DSi and DSi XL alone - a success still to be matched by the successor, the Nintendo 3DS.
