Quite an obscure system was released by Worlds of Wonder in the late 80ies only in the USA. The "videogame console" was connected to a VCR, while a receiver for lightgun signals was placed on the TV. The game on a videogame cassette was then influenced by the external system and created first interactive movie experiences. Other companies were using the same technology - but a big success or breakthrough did not happen.
