The SG-1000 marks Segas debut as a hardware manufacturer. After the Pong-wave slowly vanished, cartridge-driven system were getting more and more popular. The SG-1000 games library is influenced by Sega arcade-titels. Quite successful against Ataris 2600 in Japan, it was never released internationally.
