While the Playstation 1 and Playstation 2 both received 2 housing-revisions, the PS3 received a third revision in 2012. The Super Slim follows the principle of Sonys Hardware-revision just as expected: it is smaller, cheaper and more simple, achieved e.g. by using a toploader instead of a more expensive slot-in BR-drive. As with all versions of the PS3, different models are available, ranging from 12 GB storage (flash) to 500 GB (HDD).
