The GAMEKING, released from 2003 on by Hong Kongese company TIMETOP, saw 3 generations of hardware. Shown here is the GM-222 (the Gameking 2), dubbed "latest handy game" on the box, and misleading customers with a colourful screen mock-up pictured. The reality however was... sad. The handheld has a screen showing 48 by 32 pixels (!) in 4 shades of grey with a very slow response rate. It is far worse than the screen of the original Gameboy. At least the sound was ok. Games were ripoffs such as a Probotector/Contra clone, but never any game achieved anything really enjoyable.
