The Visual Memory Unit (VMU) is basically only the memory card for Segas Dreamcast. However, it follows a similar approach as the Pocketstation for Sonys Playstation: it enables players not only to save data, but also to download minigames from the DC and play them with the display, buttons and directional pad. The VMU is thus also considered as a handheld. Until today, an active Hacking- and Homebrew-scene deals with the VMU.
