When anounced, the next gen war was still not decided, and everyone thought, that Nintendo will loose in a time of HDTV and high-end systems. But it came different, as Nintendo sold more systems than the competition, and really has success with the casual-gamer-focus.

Bei ihrer Ankuendigung war der Next-Gen-Krieg noch lange nicht entschieden und somit wurde einmal mehr vermutet, dass Nintendo in Zeiten von HDTV und High-End Systemen den Kuerzeren ziehen wird. Doch erneut kam es anders, und Nintendo verkauft mehr Systeme als die Konkurrenz und hat zudem tatsaechlich Erfolg mit dem anfangs umstrittenen Casual-Gamer-Fokus.
