The PSone is a stripped down edition of the normal playstation. Cheaper, with no expansion slots and in a small housing, this system was able to continue the unbelievable success story that Sony had with their first videogame system ever. A similar concept was followed with the PS2 and the small PStwo then.

Die PSone ist eine abgespeckte Version der normalen Playstation. Sie war guenstiger, es fehlten die Erweiterungsports, und alles ist in einem neuen, kleinen Gehaeuse untergebracht. Die PSone konnte die unglaubliche Erfolgsstory, die Sony mit seinem ersten Videospiel-System hatte, fortsetzen. Ein aehnliches Konzept wurde mit der PS2 verfolgt, die durch die kleine PStwo wiedergeboren wurde.
