Promoted as a revolutionary 64-Bit gaming system, the Jaguar had a tough start and was not able to really compete on the market. In fact, even 32-Bit games looked often better, and not many publishers supported Ataris return on the market.

Obwohl es als revolutionaeres 64-Bit System aggressiv beworben wurde, hatte das Jaguar nie wirklich Chancen, am umkaempften Markt zu bestehen. In der Tat sahen selbst viele 32-Bit Titel besser aus, und die Unterstuetzung von 3rd Party Entwicklern blieb aus.
